Growing in Character

You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.
Henry David Thoreau

Sometimes we try to find a quick way out of a situation,we refuse to allow the process take its course,we want to get rich now,we want to get married right now.But we must understand that God is a God of process,he loves us and wants us to grow, and the process is the only way we can grow and develop.
God is a God of purpose,he has a purpose for your life,no matter the situation you find yourself,he has a plan, that’s why Paul encourages us to “Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, when you are enveloped in or meet trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. (James 1:2 AMP)” Having this assurance “Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. (James 1:3 AMP)”
God is more concerned about developing character in you than bringing you out of the situation.
Patience, steadfastness and endurance are vital for growth and maturity and most important for success in life.
Patience is the ability to wait
Steadfastness is the ability to be faithful and consistent at what you do.
Endurance is the ability to hold on and not run out in the situation.
God is more interested in bringing character out of you than bringing you out of the situation.
But you must allow, endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work so that you may be perfect and fully developed, lacking nothing.
